Did Ibanez change the Wizard 7 neck profile?

Quick question - did the neck profile on Ibanez 7 strings change at any point?
The profile on my S7320 sucked and was an affront to my hands. Does the S7420 have a different profile in any way?

Yes. The RG7x2x's all have a Wizard-7 profile. The RG7321 and S7320 (and maybe the RG1527, I forget) all technically share the same profile - the Wizard II-7. It is 2mm thicker at the headstock end. I've noticed that lately the 'shoulders' on these necks have gotten very square - the back of the neck is very flat and the shoulder curve rapidly.

Finally, the S7420 neck will pwn your S7320 neck I am afraid.

I'll addendum that the 1527 doesn't seem to suffer the square shoulders problem, but is defnitely thciker than my 7420's neck, by more than a fraction of millimetre, so I'm not sure.

I'm only really interested in mahogany bodies, I did the whole basswood/maple/rosewood thing with my JP7 and really didn't dig it. I need the chugga chugga djent djent.

Chugga Chugga djent djent can be had with any wood combination, you just need the right pickups and/or amp to compliment it. My poplar/ebony/maple custom sounds 100x meatier than any mahogany bodied Ibanez I've owned/played.

But yes, the newer necks on Ibanez are bigger and beefier than before. The S7420 probably has the slimmest neck ever.

I do have a Lundgren M7 here to put in it, so that will help. Being able to lock the trem with the Tremol-No I have here will also help
You owned a S7420 zim, how does it compare to the profile on the new COW 7s?

Right now I'm trying to figure out how I can afford it. I might not be able to make it work as things sit right now
