![]() ![]() | Korean guitars are not bad at all, they've come a long way actually and are starting to become on par with a lot of manufacturers, so I wouldn't put it out of the question. I've never tried one myself before, though. I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ Don't thank me, thank the wombat rapist. - Jamie Mah Deviantart Myspace The Many Faces of Egoraptor |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I had one and didn't get on with it. Not being able to adjust the intonation is a major liability on the bass string as it just sounded off in places. Another thing is that it really does need a solid large bass string to work well, which raises more intonation issues really. Acoustics with light strings never really feel right. It's not a bad guitar by any means, but for me it was unnecesary really. Otherwise, neck has a nice feel, well constructed and sounds good. But unless you really are someone that can use the full range it's a guitar that you'd quickly bore of, but that may just be me as I like to mess around on an acoustic from time to time, but found no real use for the extra string if i just want to tinker. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i have one. it's not bad, a solid-quality acoustic, but it's definitely an acoustic made for electric players. it has rather low action for an acoustic, and a smooth comfortable neck. the nut width is narrower than Ibanez electric 7s, so the string spacing at the nut is smaller. mine had some dead-fret issues when i got it, so it took a complete setup to get it playing right (which was covered under the lifetime warranty). i haven't had any intonation problems with the low B, but i don't use huge gauge strings. so if you want a 7-string acoustic, it's a solid guitar. it's also pretty much your only non-custom choice. ![]() _actual time_ : prog/math/metal/???? on myspace |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I have one aswell and until recently i had the stock bridge fitted to it. I recently got a new lower bridge part to slot in and now the action is about half with no buzzing at all after i set it up with thicker strings and sorted the neck. I was on the fence about selling it but after this setup its greatly improved. I reckon they are brilliant for the money and where else are you going to get a steel stringed 7 string acoustic these days? ![]() Gaz http://www.youtube.com/GazPots <--- Guitar vids. www.myspace.com/vinylfuture <--- My Bands tunes. www.soundclick.com/GazTop <--- Random Guitar tunes. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I have one and have observed the same issues. Quote:
I have a 68 string on the 7th (tuned down a step), which is the same as my electrics, so for an acoustic it feels very light, and the intonation is definitely off, which would really take a bridge adjustment to fix. I'm not getting rid of it or anything, but I think I'd get more use out of a classical style 7 than a folk style 7. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've got one as well, and it's alright. I wouldn't pay more than a few hundred for one (which i didn't). I've found that despite its jumbo style body, its volume and projection are remarkably weak. It's a good guitar (not a great one) if you really want an acoustic 7, but for the same money, you can get WAY better acoustic 6-strings. Personally, i'd love to try one of these: Emerald Guitars - www.emeraldguitars.com This space intentionally left blank. |
