Save up for a Mark IV. It was the smartest thing I've done.

Btw, does the 68 not fit the nut? My 70 fits perfectly... weird.

+1 for the Boomers. I've been using them for years. People who say they wear your frets faster must be on crack.

I started using them because they were the only strings I could find I wouldn't shred in about 10 minutes (in the bad way). I can't say I have noticed that they don't maintain they're brightness as long as other strings either.

It's only been recently that D'addario strings haven't whimpered under the wrath of my meat hooks either. They must be getting better.

I even tried filing it a little bit to get the .068 to fit...

Strange, the .060 still sits on top a little.

Very weird. I didn't file anything. All stock. Shit quality control or different parts I guess.

Well.. It's been a couple days... And I've decided they're too bright for me.

Eh, I'd probably be the happiest dude in the world with a hollowbody and some flatwound 11s.

But it'll be a while before I replace strings, so I'll just have to deal with it.
