If I would have stolen a guitar in america, I would try to sell it in Mexico or Canada. Or some smaller auction site.
Or just strip it apart and sell it in pieces.

I think I know what this is about, but I don't know any details. I'm in the NW, though, and will keep an eye out. I don't get out to pawnshops, but scour the local CL pretty regularly.

Thanks alot, guys. I'm glad I can count on y'all, y'all are my bros.

The serial number may be sanded off though and who knows....it could be stripped and refinished for all I know. This will be hard. That is why I want to find it quickly.

jeez, hope im not invading into anything too personal, but who stole it? it sounds like you think whoever it is that stole it would know how to hide it, sanding the serial and whatnot, as opposed to just some dip who stole it and pawned it off

Universalis is just really niceUniversalis is just really nice
My suggestion would be to contact any pawn brokers association or guild or whatever(National Pawnbrokers Association - NPA for example) in order to ask if it's possible to spread the word among em that you're looking for a stolen item, to ask for some help. Virtually, you could offer em the 250bucks for this "service", just to avoid some stress (if you will to check personally every pawn shop on earth it will take ages!).

I really can't think anything more useful, sorry. Unluckily I'm 3000 miles away from you so that's the best I can do. Good luck dude!

Who knows who stole it, it could be anyone from anywhere, it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

I've contacted USPS and they seem to be helping a little bit.
