How are the specs on Ibanez S7320?

I'm thinking about buying the S7320. It costs €600 (about 877 USD). How is the price, considering what parts you get? Mics, bridge etc. Any comments is helpful Thanks.

Use the search, there area bunch of writeups on them posted in this section.

General consensus is they're a good guitar, but as with all Ibanez guitars the stock pickups suck.

Mics?

The S7320 is actually pretty good for the price. The body is mahogany, which in most eyes is good, and the trem is the big deal amongst players, its very stable and smooth, and rather comfortable too. The pickups stock are not great, but aren't unusable either.

If you aren't big on the trem but want the shape and better Made in Japan quality, then look into a second hand S7420. They came in transparent turquoise and black pearl, and are rather nice guitars!

I'm not sure what prices are like for competitive sevens, so I couldn't tell you how good that price is. One thing: thomann.de will definitely have it cheaper.

Pickups, sorry Thanks for the good reply!
Actually I'm looking at musicstore.de, they are about €100 cheaper than thomann...

But how is the bridge? I've heard that Ibanez sometimes can suck on that part...

Is the S7420 not being made anymore, or why is it not available other than second hand?

It was discontinued in 2002 or 03 I think. Wicked guitar.

As for the bridges sucking, thats absolute bollcoks. Ibanez without a doubt make some of the best trems out there. The ZR is a bit different, but if your playing 7's then your already used to a bit different, and you really hardly notice it unless you try to.

Its a fucking great guitar.

Oh, my bad about Thomann.

nope the 7420 isnt made anymore as far as i know.

on any decent level models the bridges do not suck at all, in fact they are just as good as OFR's and Kahler FR bridges in my experience.

what will suck are the pickups. Easily rectified with an additional e80 or so

Haha, okay I get it. Actually I don't "play 7's", this would be my first 7 string. I just got the heaviest paycheck ever, and I've been wanting a 7-string for about 7 years now, so it's about time!

Okay, I'm sort of a newbie on these stuff. I've played guitar for about 8-9 years, but I've never looked into "details" so to speak Pickups, tremolos etc all sounded the same to me, probably cause I never really tried to separate them or knew what to listen for. But anyways, E80 are pickups, right? What makes them better than the ones already on the S7320?

Nah, Nick is lazy and couldn't be arsed finding the euro sign on his keyboard.

He meant €80 should help you buy a new bridge pickup to rectify the situation.
