Well, I picked one of these up wanting a first seven string and I can honestly this is probably the best $200 I've ever spent ever and I can't believe it was so cheap. I would have payed much more for a guitar of this quality. I didn't even have the chance to try it out before I bought it which made me think twice but I am happy with it.
What do you guys think of these? Does anyone here own one?

Also another question I have is if anyone knows what guage/brand of strings comes on them? Or atleast what guage most 7 strings come with.

Thanks for looking.

Yeah, I have one. They *are* great. Especially considering the price.

As for the string guage, I'm just taking a guess, but I think mine shipped with 56 through 10 gauge strings.

Ok thanks I think they are 10's too, just making sure, seem alot tighter than the ones on my 6 string guitar, probably because the other ones are Slinky's.

ALso what did you mean by the *'s around Are????

Thanks for letting everyone know! I was just about to ask about that guitar, since it costs so much less than all the others but still had good reviews.

How is the neck compared to an Ibanez RG? Is it thicker? How's the balance? The stock pickups? Sorry to ask, but I really wanna hear what you guys have to say.

Just a way of emphasizing the word.

I can't say anything about the neck, as the last time I've played an Ibanez RG 7-string was years ago, but it is thinner than the neck on the Schecter Blackjack C-7. The pick-ups are great; when distorted, they sound great, and I was especially surprised at how good they sounded with a clean tone. I'm not entirely clear on what you mean by "balance", but it's not neck heavy, if that's what you're asking.

Oh, and the tuners rock.

Thanks, that says a lot!

As far as balance, I did mean something that wasn't light as a feather for a body, and thus, neck heavy.

As far as neck thickness, could you at least compare it to some 6 strings, maybe?

The neck is a bit thicker than, say, an Ibanez Wizard neck, but considering it's a 7-string, that's acceptable. The fretboard is fairly flat, so you shouldn't have any trouble adjusting.

Awesome, I need something that isn't going to cramp my huge fingers up (the guitar I have now has a Wizard thick neck and is a PITA to play) and I like flat fretboards, so, GREAT!

Man, n00b brigade! I just thought I'd say hi and welcome to the forum.

Yeah, I tried a used one at GC a few months back. It seems like a pretty nice guitar for the $$$. Congrats!
