I was wondering if Stef will go 8 string or not. I think that natural progression would say he would. I heard somewhere that he tried to get esp to make one, but they said no. They probably said "an 8, no. How about like 5 more 7's in different finishes?" He plays in G# and sometimes in Drop-F# on baritone 7's so one would think he would go 8. I don''t know, what do you all think. I would ask about COW, but he probably doesn't want to look to much like dino. I mean all the guy would have to do is give 15 lessons and he could afford a RG2228

I thought I heard that he had an 8 or was getting an 8 or something. An 8 for Steph makes even more sense than with Dino, so I'd be surprised if he didn't end up owning an 8. I wouldn't be surprised if Christian got an 8. I don't think he's all that concerned about having similar gear to Dino.

I also heard Stef is getting an 8. I cant imagine ESP wouldnt make stef an 8. They will make anything. What likely is the case is they will not make a sig 8, but if he really wants one ESP custom shop can build it.

Yeah - he is definitely on the 8 string bandwagon... totally wrong forum though.

Yeah I just realised that. I was on the sevenstring forum and i just hit add new thread. oh well. I though I heard that esp gave someone crap for wanting an 8. Maybe it was Devin Townsend I don't know I might go to the esp forum and search around

Listening to dino's explanation made it seem like most people that tune from A-F# on 7's will be picking up an 8 at some point.

Seems you guys forget that Steph hardly ever uses the low B string... I've seen shows where he never hit it...
