 | Toronto ss.org get together (56k lol) ok.. here we go with my first picstory... here we have a couple shots of my space before the evening began.i took these as proof that it was actually clean (mostly for my wife who says i keep it a mess)   big mike(bigm555) came first, followed by darren. here are some gratuitous guitar shots. mike brought an ebmm jp7 in lava pearl and a raven west.   darren brought a dean evo?, and a squier7 and a surprise...  a danelectro 7?!? more on that later...  then allen arrived with victor(friend from work) gratuitous guitar shot alert...   i love the pottyuv7. on a lighter note, my uv7 green dot clone even fooled allen at first  he also brought a soldano hot rod 100+ for everyone to try. but first, a gratuitous member shot and now on to the soldano testing... victor went first. i think it was an excuse to try the strat7.lol  allen tried it with the dean...  while everyone looked on...  darren tried it with the dean as well.(in the background you can see the pizza had arrived...  we tried this head with a bunch of different guitars,with a pile of different pickups. evo7's,blaze custom7's, emg 808(courtesy of allen's rg2228) and duncan distortions.. the general consensus? a resounding.. meh  you can see my buddy mark in the background there. he plays in the band piledriver. i tech for him sometimes. now, on to the vht...  we ran it with my gx700 preamp.solid state. the vht made it come alive.. victor tried it...  i had mark try it. i was busy taking pictures.lol. plus i know what he sounds like... so good tone test for me.  here's darren waiting to administer the thunder.  it was at this point that darren pulled out the danelectro7 and asked for a clean wet patch..  the room just stopped.  amazing tone, amazing playing. conversation stopped until he was done. it was kind of mesmerizing... then mark tried it out. a lot of rush stuff. dude's a jukebox.lol  then mike tried his gp-100 with the vht. busted out some dream theater while allen looks on..  that's my kid in the background. he played roadie and loaded everyone into the house.lol and then the conversation shot, while victor tries out my pacifica in the background. he couldn't believe there was such a thing as a quality pacifica...  that's all the pictures i have.lol i'll take many more next time. oh and the vht ruled!! i had a blast and i think everyone did too. now everyone add the stuff i forgot... |
