Loomis fret access
I'm rather close to ordering one, the specs are pretty perfect to me. Too bad there aren't any in all of the guitar stores around me... as it looks like I will have to order one.
I have a question though - I've checked out as many pictures and videos that I can, but I need some opinions - how is the access to the 24th fret? I can tell that it definitely isn't as good as my Soloist in the cutaway department, but in all honesty, I couldn't expect it to be Anyways, is it at least easily reachable? It just looks a little iffy. Also, I've seen some picstories here for Loomis guitars, and at least one came with a hardshell case. I can't find any place online advertising a HSC, does anyone know of one? |

The bolt ons are where the access becomes negligable. I have a 22 fret bolt on Schecter and the access is as everyone says, decent. My set neck Hellraiser is perfectly fine.
My Schecter C7FR, as you know...was not. (has small hands) |

If it's like the C7 Hellraiser it'll be okay. If it's like the C7 Blackjack consider the guitar 22 frets with 2 for tapping.

Well, it could have been better, but it's perfectly fine. I play lots of a lead and I haven't found myself feeling it drawing me back from getting up there.
Regarding the case, I have the OHSC, I bought it with the guitar for 99$, and it rules. |

If it's like the Hellraiser, access will not be that bad. The guitar is balanced well, meaning the neck joint will be in the middle of your torso (although my carvin is much more comfy in this regard). The frets are a bit further apart, which messed me up at first (i guess this is the 26.5 scale coming into play?). I find it's more indactive to a less paul fret spacing, where as Ibby's frets are more confined (which i prefer).
It's very comfy and easily adaptable. |

Ah... well I thought that a shred guitar would be what you make of it... but I guess if there's something with better access to 24 in the price range that is a shred guitar, then suggestions are not only welcome. They are preferred
