So my LP7 is with the Guitar Tech

Yeah...I can't get the thing to intonate to save my life, and the fretwork sucks ass...

So, I've got Scott (local tech in Fredericksburg, does business out of GC) checking it out. If he is unable to get it perfect I'm thinking about trading it and my Dean MLX7 in to get a nice Schecter 7 string to have a great guitar to hold me over till I get my KxK.

What do you think guys? Any suggestions?

If I had a KxK on the way I wouldn't want to be acquiring stuff I'm going to never use again once it arrives and that I'll have to eat a loss on to get rid of.

I'd just keep the guitars you have then sell them once the KxK arrives.

I'd still play the Schecter if I got it. I have two 6 strings I still play a Schecter V-1 Plus and an Epiphone Les Paul Custom.

The Dean MLX7 I really never play, the LP7 is pissing me off, and it could be awhile till the KxK is done.

The Blackjack 7 is a really nice guitar, I'd say you would be making a wise choice there if you dig the chunkier neck carve. IMHO, it's one of the better semi-budget 7's out there, again if you're okay with a thicker neck.

Plus, if you get it you could bring it over so I could play one again!

You could do a lot worse than a Blackjack C7. I've liked the ones I've played.

If your tech can't get the LP7 set up then the Blackjack is a good choice

I also love the attitude that you can/should only have one guitar. I've got a KxK and I've still got an Ibanez RG2027 and a Jackson COW7 that I play occasionally and a Dean EVO7 that I need to clean up (needs a restringing and fret clean and polish).
