$1300 - wow, when you convert that into £'s... You don't get anything HALF as decent for that money. I might have to get a quote, find out how much shipping to England is and make an order. From what i've seen here, some of the Carvin's look like fantastic instruments.

Yeah, I know. I may still suck, but I'll suck with one more string.

Hardtail. I am not a big fan of trems at all. Ironic, since I've had two 1527's. But I just never, ever use it.

Plus I want to get Graphtech Ghost saddles so I can mutilate Change of Seasons properly.

Wow, that should be something then.

Glad to see you've returned to the darkside.

Congrats Jeff - good call on the stainless steel frets
Looking very much forward to the picstory. Right now the agony of waiting for a Carvin is just about to get the better of me: my Carvin has been stuck for two days in customs now - it's so close I can taste it... but still out of reach AAARGHHH!!!!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an early Friday delivery but am bracing myself for a full weekend of torment

Cheers

Eske

Nuts, isn't it? Just over the cost of an RG1527.

BUT Carvin have a UK distributor - so you have to order it through them, who then order it from Carvin for you. I know this because I spec'd one out not so long ago. Guess what the base price was? £1,300.($2,600)

Dude, that's bullshit for you guys. It'd be cheaper to have someone in the US buy it and ship it.
I swear someone could make a decent buck buying stuff and selling it overseas. Mesa's ridiculous too, right?
