![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If by "bad quality" they are referring to Basswood in general, they have somewhat of an argument (a lot of people don't like basswood, I don't mind it) but if they mean like, a bad cut of basswood or something, they're most likely full of it. Ibanez has great QC in my experience.* *Two Ibanez guitars in perfect condition. Grain of salt. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's personal preference, really. A lot of people don't like basswood as a tone wood. I'm not one of them. True, it's very neutral, and is pretty even across all frequency ranges, but that actually makes it a rather nice tonewood for lead guitar - there's a reason Steve Vai and Joe Satriani both chose basswood for their guitars. Alder's still my favorite, but in a pinch I'm very happy with basswood. ![]() "...and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon." |
