Advive Needed

Ok so I've taken the plunge & I'm having a custom 7 built by a local luthier
I've talked with him alot over the last few days about the spec & what I've come up with as yet is :

Body shape - RG
Body material - mahogany
Top Material - ?
Neck material - maple
Fingerboard material -ebony
Binding on neck - No
Inlays - Abalone
headstock angle - yes, like ibanez
Headstock shape - Ibanez (Reversed)
Headstock front - ebony
Machineheads - Schaller or sperzel locking
Hardware - Black Tunomatic Bridge
Pickups - 1 EMG 707

Color . . . . . . . . . .Undecided.

The problem is as you can probably see I can't decide on the Top I want.
I was Initially thinking about having a Quilt Because this Guy prefer's to Oil finish His Guitars but because of the contouring the Mahogany will show through.
So now I honestly don't Know what to do, I was thinking of just having it sprayed but can't make up my mind.
Would Stained Mahogany look good?

Come on guys help me out Please.

I'd get it sprayed, should look good. I'd probably go for white.

I already have a white 7420 & i'm wanting something different for this one.

Top Material - maple (any) It will make your sound more bright.

And man but two pups...........You will need sometime

Yeah thats what I was thinking, as for the pups, I've other guitars to use this one's primarily a Riffing machine.

Yeah thats what I'd like or maybe Whale blue, but like I said before the mahogany's gonna show through on the contour so it'l look odd.

Or get Black Cherry.

Thing is I want it contoured for comfort, I don't like flat Guitar bodies.

put a regular maple top on it, contour it, and then have him veneer it with flame maple. that way the forearm contour doesn't get all half-maple half-mahogany.
