Your 7-string neck setup

I hate how my neck feels on my uv7bk, when i got it, it played soo good and the neck felt straight and the strings had great action with no buzz.

I took my guitar to a tech for a second time (and the LAST TIME!) and it just doesn't feel right. The action was WAY to high, so i ended up adjusting the floyd by myself since the guy didn't know how to.

Another thing that bothered me is the way the neck is setup, there is a nice little bowe that is really bother me, and it makes me really to adjust the trussrod. They tech guy tried to do it (with the strings tuned and locked), but he said that it won't go any further.

I put 9-52's on my guitar btw.

How do you guys setup your neck? Straight?, a little relief? lots of relief?

Sounds like that tech didn't have much of a clue what he was doing. I always refer to this guide when I need to be refreshed on the little details:

I have a bit of relief in the neck of my Carvin.
My Jackson soloist however is almost dead straight.
Every guitar is different.
