![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | New Cheapie Guitar Day! (Kramer content)... ... Scored this Kramer Striker 7 off ebay about 2 weeks ago, just got around to taking some pics. this was purely an impulse buy. as some of you know, i have a weakness for maple fretboarded 7s ( ) and for the price ($360 shipped) i couldn't let this one slip by. i must admit, i wasn't expecting much, at the most i figured it would be a decent beater guitar to have around... but i'm REALLY impressed with the overall sound and quality of this thing . very thin body and neck that feels ALOT like an Ibanez Saber, another plus is that the previous owner installed Dimarzio blaze neck (which i took the liberty of throwing an alnico 8 magnet in already, thanks Scott ) and bridge pickups as well. check out the flame action on that fretboard too .![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() SPECS: Neck: Canadian Hard Maple Neck Profile: Elliptical, Slim-Taper Construction: Bolt-On Body: North American Alder Frets: 24 - Jumbo Nickel/Steel Headstock: 14 degree pitch Non-Reverse, Pointy Fingerboard: 24 fret, Hard Maple Scale Length: 25.5" F/B Inlay: Black Dots Finishes: Black Metallic |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Nice score, Mr. Drozdowski! That's a rather rare model for what I know... And those headstocks are some of the most beautiful out there. Now waht's the deal with maple fretboards? What's the difference from say rosewood or ebony(most common ones)? |

![]() | maple has a bit of a brighter tone than rosewood. i've found ebony to be brighter than rosewood as well, but not as bright as maple. and since it's part of the neck, it has a much bigger effect on your instrument's total sound than you (or i) would think. *sigh* this guy here's making me miss my maple fretboarded RG. even though noone seems to know exactly what it was, and i can't find another one ANYWHERE |
