Good stuff, man. It's a shame that Schecter doesn't make a version of the Hellraiser with Passive pups, and your work is the best solution I've seen to that problem. Too bad that Dimarzios won't fit either, that'd have made it perfect.

And Stitch,

"Personally I see no great issues with ocularly penetrating someone.
The advantages are they can sing you songs while you're having
intercourse. Imagine a round of "row row row your boat" while you're
plowing the shit out of her skull."

Thanks a lot for all of your comments guys, it is much appreciated! I'm pumped at the response I've gotten thus far!

I won't get a chance to even think about making more of these pickup mounts for quite a few months, since I am away at school! When I can make some more perhaps I will post in the "for sale" section?

You're right! It would've been a good call, and way less of a pain in the ass. If I found one cheap I would consider picking it up. I must say though, that the Hellraiser's beautiful quilted top lured me in, and this guitar, as well as all I've owned prior have been good learning experiences. (I feel a custom guitar order/build brewing) lol.

My original idea was for the pickups to be fully enclosed, and it would be a reallllly easy thing to add on! When I get a chance to make some more, I will play around with the configuration a bit... I'm happy with how my first attempts here turned out though!

Somebody also mentioned recessing the height adjustment screws and making the casing shorter; I did countersink them a little bit, but that wasn't easy since the width of the side pieces in only 5mm. Not much to work with! I might play around with the idea of a shorter box in the future. Currently the top of the box lines up with the top of the pickup, which works for me!

and when I get a chance in the next little bit, I'll record some clips and link 'em up here.

Rock on,
Casey

Rotten Deadite is on a distinguished road
I'm quite surprised nobody's made an "EMG to Regular Pickup" conversion kit or something. Seems a little niche but I think it'd sell okay.
