Nicely done! I would have left them natural, though!

Very nicely done sir! I think it actually looks better without the EMG's, and yours rings are smaller than the fretsonthenet ones, which appeals.
Shame I'll never buy a Hellraiser to do this to one. ![]() +rep to Matt for keeping the kids in line. ![]() |

Yeah, i'm surprised that fretsonthenet isn't making rings that fit *into* the EMG cavities to support passive pickups.
I would have made them shallower and used countersunk screws in the four corners like regular pickup rings have. |

A very elegant and sharp looking solution to a common problem. Nice work.
![]() Those rings exist because of a request by me, and I asked for them to mount on the outside. I tried bending the tabs on the Duncans, but IMHO they are just too fragile to be reliable in the long run. I could see me snapping them off at a show, since I snapped one off trying to get them to fit without routing. Plus, as the OP already stated, it won't work for Dimarzios.

Very nice job!
Looks perfect. Too bad you couldn't make the rings look like the binding, because that would be badass!
