New Freaking Guitar Day (Fifty-Six K :nono: )

Snagged this one from TMM

UPS decided to run it over before giving it to me though.

Hence no picstory because I was pissed and worried it was damaged.
So pics!!!

Guitar is undamaged Slays my Ibanez playability and soundwise. No comparison.

Slight problem: The low B wont intonate properly at all. Cant get it to sound in tune anywhere on the neck Looks like it's sitting in the nut properly. Is it alright to remove that little spring behind the saddle? Its the only reason I cant get it back far enough.

Atomic_gerbil is a jewel in the rough
Edit: actually, after messing with my RG, I'm unsure. Ask someone else, I am by no means an expert.

Nice BCR though! *gas*

I was wondering when someone would finally bring this issue up (with 7 string guitars). I have the same problem with my Ibanez RG7 when playing 60+ gauge strings tuned down to A. As you mention, you have to move the saddle back, back, back...until the fretted notes don't go sharp. If it takes removing the spring behind the saddle, then I say go for it. I had to thread another hole in my floyd to get my saddle to move back far enough.

Good luck.

I had to do that to one of my floyds too. This is .068 gauge though.

...and the Sperzel tuners wont even take a .054

I was going to suggest removing the spring altogether from the low B saddle, like Grendel said, but I was unsure. I have never done something like that myself, and I wasn't about to let you be my guinea pig on a USA BCR.

dumb of me.

But I hope the problem resolves, thats too awesome of a guitar to have such a problem.
