Eh, I took out the spring. Intonates as good as any other guitar now. I dont really see how there could be any problems.

Anyone know otherwise please let us know.

Removing the spring is no problem at all. Think about it: The string is pulling the saddle in the same direction the spring pulls it, and the force is about 100 times stronger. The only thing you need to watch out for is when the saddle touches the end of the bridge and "stands up". That means that the 2 screw poles don't touch the bridge anymore.

What I do to prevent this is tuning down the string considerably, then pull back the saddle while pushing it down with my thumb, then tune up, stretch like a madman and tune up again...

Going back that far you're forcing the string into a "question mark", when viewed from the side. That's no problem as long as your saddle still is sitting down on the bridge. This limits how low you action can be though.

Everything is sitting right. Doesn't really seem like the spring was necessary. Just my first time screwing with one of these bridges. Simple little things

It's got one volume. The other holes are from other setups.
