Yeah, my bad. Sarcasm is hard to deliver in text.

I really like your idea of a 28-30". I think it would handle the low end better than mine. I went with 25.5-28.625" so that I could go higher as well as lower.

It's going to be interesting to play since I had Mike put the mid point of the fan at the octave. I just didn't want too drastic of a fan at the bridge.

Pending availability of Garry Goodman's strings, my intent was to tune the 7 to FCGDAEB, but for now I think it's going to be 2 steps lower. We'll see. Hopefully I'll get the guitar in this week. Military mail can be a BITCH so here's hoping I don't have to wait out the 4-day weekend.

I meant to put one of these things with my statement there - it was totally meant to come across in a jovial manner.

Anyhow that's awesome that you're looking at getting a 5ths tuned 7-string
