New Guitar Day; Gotta love it!

So, lately I've been looking for a C7 Hellraiser. After some looking I saw one listed as used on the GC web site for $400. I went to check it out, called the store it was listed at, and was told it had already sold. So, after him looking around a lot to make sure, he tells me they'd sell me a new one for the same price if I drove down to their store. Well, I didn't have time or gas to make a 5 hour trip to get a guitar. So, I go into my local GC store and tell them, and after the sells associate talks to his manager, and his manager calls someone else, they tell me they'll order me a new one for $500 and it'll get there in 2-4 weeks. Well, yesterday I got a call saying they got a shipment of Schecters in a C7 Hellraiser was in there. So, I got this fresh out of the box for $500 with a free setup. Quite a pleasant experience for shopping at Guitar Center, haha. So, after all, here are the pics.

And here is one of it with my late great grandfather's 1940's Harmony arch top.

(If anyone here goes to HC forums and is having deja vu, I just copied the code from my post there, heh.)

There's a hole in the world like a great black pit
And it's filled with people who are filled with shit
And the vermin of the world inhabit it
But not for long ...

I agree. That Hellraiser is very nice. I've been debating on getting one too so if you could post your impressions that would be great. That archtop is beautiful as well!

Thanks man. My uncle had it sitting in his closet since I was about 1 or 2 (I'm 18 now). While we were helping him move I found it, and decided to take it home with me to clean it up and fix it. It has some cracks and messed up stuff, so I'm trying to get it playable and pretty again, haha. It's a trip thinking I'm playing the same guitar my great grandfather did over 50 years ago. I was only a year or two old when he died, but it's still pretty cool.

I love it. The tone from the mahogany and EMG707's is killer. Smooth, yet heavy as hell. I'm really loving it. The extended 26.5" scale is taking a bit to get used to, but I'm really digging it and the added tension. Nothing about the guitar I can really complain about.
