"Baritone" Extended scale 7, oooh which to buy???
My oh my first post.
Don't worry theres no need to teach me how to type, I have in fact done this internet thing before. Anyway I'm looking to buy my first 7 after deciding I can't put it off any longer. I'm leaning towards something with a 27" or similar scale, I cant stand low Bs and As that sound like pish. sooooooooooooooooooooooooo... Give me your wisdom. Seen most of what there is to offer, Schecter, Agile ect but some of you are very wise. |

Schecter C-7 Blackjack, if you dig Seymour Duncans. It's a 26.5"

Your choice on mass-produced sevens is not bad.
There are Ibanezes (RG1077, 2077) Schecters (i.e. Hellraiser, Loomis ), and LTD's (SC607B ), among others. They are all well-made guitars, as far as I can tell. There is also an ESP SC model, just like the LTD, but a lot more expensive. I haven't tried the ESP, but I've heard good things about it.I was thinking of picking up a SC607B, but came to my senses and got this instead. I'm certainly not regretting the decision to get something nicer. ![]() I've loved the baritone scale on seven strings for a long time. To me, everything sounds less "mushy" and more "defined." I don't think you will regret going the extra 2" to get a sturdier tone.

Yeah 25.5", thats a little woman scale. Those bastards sound about as huge as simple plan, fucking wangs.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, they all pretty much the ones I was concidering. I swear I could finally overthrow communism with the carpenter models but should also think about price as its my first. May go with the new upcoming Agile it seems quite a beast. Then the SC607B and the C-7 can fight for my affection when I decide I need another to switch to DROP G (Strike Death Pose) mid show. The XL ibbys are discontinued though aren't they? I'd Kill for one. |

Funny you mentioned overthrowing communism, because I just shipped my Ibanez RG7421XL off to Russia today. Perhaps the buyer had exactly that in mind!?
