seems maple and ebony are neck and neck. i'm fine with either, doesn't matter to. everyone who will seriously buy this needs to speak up now so we can get this thing moving.

Wouldnt the neck being maple and the fretboard being maple make the guitar too bright?

We need to have a secret meeting for those seriously interested and with kurt - cuz people will still post their opinions and prolong this issue.

There never was an issue with the fretboard material before - why create one now?

ebony and maple are almost identical when it comes to brightness. it's not an issue for me at all, i like both. if Kurt has no problem doing either and if the majority (who are serious about buying this) want maple, why not.

Well I am serious about buying one too and I would want ebony. Its just that if maple is done, he should put on a 12th fret offset dot or something. I cant play maple necks without any inlays. I can however do that on ebony fretboards.

Btw - does he use 6100 frets? Maybe we should request?
Guys who have owned the interceptor, how were the frets?

Ed, as your official guitar advisor I must suggest that you get a maple neck with maple fretboard.

a) You already have an Agile with an ebony fretboard

and

b) I'd like to play an Agile with a maple fretboard!

It would be cool to see something slightly different, plus it won't change the sound.

i don't think they're 6100, but they're damn close. i'm a 6100 guy and have no problems with them. anyway, like i stated awhile ago, for the sake of keeping in line with all the other interceptors, EBONY is the best choice for this. although i do love maple... WITHOUT INLAYS, LOL
