ok.. i got an insane idea.. but.. i'm insane!

today i started to learn Acid Rain by L.T.E..

ok.. all the bass intro (on low b and E) and the following part (on high e and b) is done. the first fast part is done too (i knew that part for a long time).. now i'm learning the second last part.. it's not hard to play.. it's hard to remeber.. :|

my ask for U is: do you know some good video of petrucci playn' this song? I want to see how he plays this song.. i search on youtube but i found only a video and of very bad quality..

I just finished learning that song not long ago. I'm just refining the longer harmony he does with jordan. Not an easy song to learn I tell you! It's worth it though, a lot of fun to jam on. All I need is a whammy pedal and I'm all set

To answer your question, I only know of one vid where we actually see patrochi performing that song live. Even then you can't see what he's playing very well...

ps.. i have no intension of learning the solo.. i hate petrucci and his stile.. i love only this thing and overture (the second song of metropolis pt2)..

Yeah, if you like overture and this thing... I STRONGLY recommend you listen to the older DT stuff like A change of seasons and Images and words..

I recently discovered that Acid Rain(at least the intro) is now slow enough for me to start learning it.

I did Concerto last summer- my callouses were literally hanging off my fingers, they tore off from practicing so much
