My band reviewed in Guitar Player this month

Hey everyone! We just want to let you know that LoNero is in Guitar Player magazine in the Big Eight Column in the October issue with the Beatles on the cover. I'm not a big guitar rag fan, but I used to buy every guitar mag I could when I was a teenager so I'd be lying if I said this didn't make me smile. The cool thing is that we didn't solicit the review, and infact didn't even know about it until some fans started talking about it on our myspace.

The review is for our song "Loose":

"Guitarist Bill Lonero and crew have gear endorsements out the wazoo, promotional help from Apple Computer, two-million MySpace plays, and they claim to have invented "instrumental guitarcore," so you should really hate them. But you can't, because they're just so damn good. This song kicks ass-it's melodic, blistering, and brilliant."

Most of the rhythm guitars I did with 7 strings, hence why I posted here. If this is the wrong place for shameless self-yippeing, please move the post.

That is seriously cool - congratulations! Just listened to "Loose" - it sort of has a "Satch does metal" kinda feel to it...

Cool. Add coming your way as well. I dig your lead tone on the opening to Loose - still listening...

That's awesome man! I've always dug the stuff on MySpace! Really happy for ya!

Ah, the days of scouring through guitar mags, and dreaming if one's band/self were ever to be in it....what a happy day it would be. Hell I wouldn't care if it where a 1" space in the crack of the last page, I'd be thrilled!

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

Haha, I had you added on MySpace without even knowing who you are! Good to see a band getting the recognition it deserves though.
