Any other 2027s in/near Ottawa, Canada?

Very long time lurker, first time poster, pulled out by desperation...

Having missed out on Avery's recent 2027x in-city sale on account of performing my annual university performance jury that day (been looking on-and-off for one for years, and I miss the one time that it comes up locally

), I figured I might as well ask - are there any other 2027s floating around the area? Not necessarily for sale, either - I really just want to try one for once.

Congratulations, zimbloth - hope you get a lot of good play out of it.

Sucks you missed out bro. All I can say, is buy one anyway. Just find one for sale somewhere else and buy it. You will not be dissapointed. They play/feel/and sound amazing and you will never get one unless you go balls out for it.

That's the problem, I've been trying for years and always finding them a bit too late. I've also been pretty badly burned on shipping mishaps, so I always try and deal locally, if I can.

This miss is particularly painful, simply because I've been checking all the usual places daily (sometimes twice) for months now, and the one time I didn't do it was to get time to prepare for my, er, guitar exam.

Anyway, the search continues. Beautiful pair you've got there, as with much of your other collection that I've seen in other posts.

Thanks man. But yea... I can imagine that would be very frustating to miss out on one right there at home but if you want one as bad as you say you do, you're definately going to have to give international shipping another chance. And, if you do find one on this forum, the regulars here are all very reputable and the chance you will get burned is next to nonexistant. Here is a HUGE secret that not many people on this site know... Zimbloth's guitars tend to have a very... erm... short life in terms of his owning them so that guitar might be up on the block again sometime in the near future. I don't know if he feels differently about this one, but historic evidence would suggest that it may be possible for you to get another crack at that 2027.

And you can always hound on people that post in this thread (excluding myself

)...

Haha, yeah, remember that I've lurked here for years, so I've seen zimbloth's, er, turnover rate. All the same, he wanted a 2027 back pretty badly, and Chris has already called dibs... I guess that I should have come out of hiding a while back, since I don't really have much of a rep around here and, thus, can't really say "second dibs, okay? Please?"

Well money talks and sellers are much more protected than buyers. So long as the money shows up in the paypal account, it doesn't really matter.

Aye, but I feel like my chances of actually scoring one are going to go down substantially once school starts and I can no longer dedicate the daily time I've recently been giving to the search. No excuse, I know, but from wht I've seen that in the past, several of the rare sales (here and elsewhere) have gone to friends/known posters before they even make it to the for sale forum... Guess that's why I'm kicking myself for not signing up earlier.

I would almost feel bad hounding those lucky souls in the Double Edge thread.... Far be it for me to try and interfere with such beautiful relationships. But, oh, the adulterous temptations are agonizing. AGONIZING.

A SS.org gathering around here would certainly be fun! Do you come in from Belgrade often, or are you located around here, now?

I've still only got my one 7, but it'd be nice to meet some more bottom dwellers in the area.
