Question String Gauges for ADADGBE tuning?

This band I recently joined is using drop d, and seeing as having a B with drop d is illogical, and i refuse to let my UV sit at home, I did some looking around the forums for topics. I found that ADADGBE is most logical for drop D with a seven, but what are the optimal gauges for those low strings. I use a set of GHS 9-42 with a 58 as the low B. Could I Get light top, heavy bottom in 9's then get a single string for the low A?

Any help is appreciated.

I'd go for 10-52's with a low 64.

Well, I would say if you like 9-42s, then you could either keep buying them and then get a 48 and a 60-62, or just buy 9-46s with a low 60-62

I think that's what I'm going to go with. Where can you buy single strings like that? Do you think I'll be able just to get them at my local GC or should I order them online?

Singles at GC are a joke. They sell EB 7s for $6.99. Best bet is juststrings.com or webstrings.com

Well, i went to guitar center, and got a pack of 9-42 DR's. Then bought a single 46 and 65(they only had that one for the seventh string, it was closest to what i wanted anyway.)

It's strung up now, and the 65 actually works really well for the low A, perfect actually.

Thanks for your help.
