Thumbs down

...sry, but imho no one will buy that guitar. although the "original" allan holdsworth carvin is pretty cool if you like that kind of guitar (neck=fat, body=meh, one humbucker and no floating trem) i can only imagine a chance for that guitar on the market if carvin "upgrades" it, like something better for the money.

...a tele-style seven with floyd and two humbuckers, 24 frets and a thin neck made by carvin? damn, now thats what im talking about i would definately get this, but carvin would never do that, at least under allan´s name.

...anyway, good luck!

I think if Carvin simply made their archtop beautiful PRS clone model (CT6) as a 7-string, I'd buy like 3 of those. So beautiful. I love the PRS-ish look.

absolutely, me too. but i doubt they ever will because it would require new raw materials different from their current 7s. ah well.

I would TOTALLY buy a Holdsworth-7. The other ideas here are cool, but a Holdsworth-7 would address a currently unfilled market niche, I believe.

but it's a SIGNATURE model. Unless Holdsworth plays a 7 and wants them produced in his signature.. that wouldn't make any sense

I think Carvin should just offer a 7 string option for ALL of their electric guitars. Period. The parts are cranked out using CNC, shouldn't be that difficult.
