CasualFitzy is a jewel in the rough
So I got my first 7 string 2 weeks ago now...

and I just picked up my main 6 string for the first time since. It feels like a joke. Do you guys that switch back and forth a lot get used to both? It took me like an hour to get back into the feel of it. I'm definitely missing that extra string..

I was the same way when I got first sevenstring. You get used to the switch pretty quickly. Just try not to favor one over the other too much. These days I don't even own a sevenstring, and I have another 6 on the way. Once I have that, I'll be getting a new 7. Hopefully I remember what it's like. It's been a while.

Why did you drop the seven string Michael, and do u drop the tunings on your 6 to compensate?

When I got fully used to the 7 string (month or so), I didn't really have a problem at all. I go between 6 and 7 all the time, never understood how some people couldn't go back to 6 after going 7.

Going back to a 6 feels like playing with a kids toy. One of the guys in my band has a spare 6 that he uses for drop-c tuning, but other than that I cant ever imagine going back to one.

I used to be able to switch back and forth between 7 and 6 but I cant anymore. The missing string is just to f'ing annoying.

Ugh, I'm playing my strat right now, and it is so hard for me to think that I am going to part with it. I plan on getting a SCS UV777DY with an Alder body made in the future in its place.
