Squier Stagemaster 7 ?
Hi!
I just found a used 7 string Stagemaster and it's much cheaper then the used RG7321. I just want to know that what kind of wood do they used for the body? They said it's "solid wood", well, that doesn't sound too great, but I also read basswood, alder, agathis, so, what's the truet? Does someone own one here? What can you tell me about their quality? Thanks! |

I played the guitar, and considering that's a cheap guitar it has nice feel. The neck has a nice diameter, it's bigger than the ibanez ones, the pickups are very muddy, the tuners are just ok.
I might buy the 7321 used insted of it.

Well, quality-wise, I'd say the RG7321 is better than the Squier SM7, but if you play the two, you'll see that they both feel a lot different. The Squier SM7's I've tried also seemed to each be different. One seemed really chinsy (almost like it was pine or something), the other felt solid, but the trem had jagged edges on it.
I'd reccoment the RG, because you can fix it up cheaper and easier than the Squier, but then I never fixed up a Squier, so maybe it's not as bad as I think. |
