1077XL, I've wanted one of those for years personally, much better than an overpriced 550.

With the 1077XL you'll be happy, trust me. Longer scale, well-built, awesome look.

Dude - there is no comparison here. The 1077xl is a way way way way way better guitar.

Also 27"+7String+Prestige Neck > 25.5"+6String+Wizard I Neck IMO

Dude, don't be a fool. New 1077's aren't something you run into every day.

neoclassical is a jewel in the rough
I've owned an RG550 in RFR for ~20 years, it is a very nice guitar, but it is no 7 string and will have the usual down tuning issues any 6 has. It also has the old neck joint which at the time was great but I like the AANJ or neck through better. It also has the original edge trem, at the time it was unbeleivable with that recessed route but it has that whale tail in the back, the new edge pro/low pro are much better because they don't have the tail sticking up IMO. I find myself setting the original edges up to sit angled back into the route to avoid the tail.

go for the baritone

Adam

1077 you'd be nuts if you chose the 20th.
