yep, I decided I needed an acoustic, and as I had some spare cash floating around (and before it got sucked up) I decided to get an acoustic, and in true keeping with my current philosophy it's a 7string one (the Ibanez one I believe).

Anyway, anyone actually played one of these? Just so you can either horrify me or make me even more anxious to get it, as I am not going to see it for at least 3 weeks, if not more than that....:S

I have plans for it though. Dark evil skipping troll like plans....

Judging by the catalogue they still make them, but this one has been floating around for a while and has had the nut, saddle and bridge pins replaced with ones made of Tusq which should be cool

Also it's an electro acoustic with nice little buttons, sliders and knobs to play about with.

Definately an cool little toy that's a bit different

I think you're talking about the AJ 307CENT. If so, I've got one and love it. I'm with you on the seven exclusive thing. I also believe there's a few SS.org'ers that have them (Real7 I think).

I know, i've not had one for ages, and they are just so much fun to fiddle around on! Now all i have to do when i get it is figure out what stringsa to use on it as I want to tune it to A

Am also looking forward to going all 7 string again (even though it's a crime not to play some of the 6 strings I've acquired)

Scott Kroeker (TheReal7 on here) has one of those, and from what I remember, he's pretty damn happy with it.

Congrats man, I've been GASing for one of those for ages.

As I recall, intoning them's a bitch and may require some custom saddle shaping work, but after that they're pretty damned solid.

How much do those things go for these days, anyway? I don't think I have physiocal apartment space these days for another acoustic, but still, it's nice to dream...
