![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Does anyone make an all Maple 7? after hearing my Blue GMW in Drop D last night throwing down some "The Psalm of Lydia", "Create the Infinite" and ....................."Unchained at decent volume thru the JSX when Drew was over , I got to thinking, ....."shit this guitar sounds thunderous thru this thing", I wonder what an all Maple 7 would sound like? I've got a Duncan SH-14 and a 59 with a 250K pot in this thing and it's a lot smoother and fuller sounding than you would expect an all maple guitar to be. So are there any production all Maple 7's out there (anyone have one?) or are we talking CS shop only? ![]() Can I be the devil on your shoulder? ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I dont have it yet, but I had the same line of thinking going with an all maple seven. I ordered a custom shop 7 string version of an ESP Kamikaze 1. Bolton, maple body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard. I will not see it till end of the year at earliest however.... |

I gotta say, I've always had more of a thing for alder than basically anything else I've played, but I'd be very curious to hear a maple 7, too. You might be able to go custom - I've been meaning to grab a 7620 or 1527 and have an alder body made up for some time now, and you could do the same with a solid maple, I suppose. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | the one i built sounds really good. ![]() it's neck-thru and has an ebony board. i run Tone Zone 7 and Air Norton 7 pickups in it, and the maple gives them both a really nice bite--sounds great with the usually dark tone of the TZ7. as for production all-maple, i think your only choice might be Carvin, even they offer maple body wings. _actual time_ : prog/math/metal/???? on myspace |
