Mine landed at 1398$. Oh, and I'm guestimating a full 3-month build time on mine... but time flies when you're having fun, right

Luckily, I should be receiving my Halo 7-string Strat in the not too distant future... and it is absolutely bound to keep me occupied until November

Cheers

Eske

P.s.: I just got a mail from Carvin: expected completion date is October 10 - that's actually pretty damn quick!

Hmm. Well I've already decided that I'm most likely getting one that looks like this:

It's too bad, I love birdseye maple fretboards, but it seems like they're more work than ebony/rosewood (since they're just finished, unlike the other two which produce oils). I want it to last forever

I went with birdseye - I just prefer the tone of maple to... well all other fretboard woods I have heard, really. But yes, you will need to clean and oil it more than you would on ebony (which still needs oil to avoid the dreaded cracking), but thats a small price to pay, as far as I'm concerned.

Heh, my Jackson DK2m has permanently turned me off to maple and alder, tonewise... Also bolt on necks, floating trems, import Jacksons.....

Either way I think that greenburst looks sploogetastic.... so it's really all good.

ultrazonej is on a distinguished road
I own two carvins a DC 747 and a dc 727 both alder with ebony fretboard I like the pick ups they are very versatie but they have a kind of plastic-quality to their sound.so full shred bridge and a jazz in the neck and jb br and 59 n and of you go
