The flake actually isn't that heavy. The particle size is smaller than grains of salt, but they are so highly reflective that a camera flash activates them. It looks amazing when stage lights hit it, but in person it is far more subdued.

Late to this party, but I could care less until they build one with an OFR and two passives. I'd PREFER a maple board, but even if they build an ebony OFR-equipped seven (especially if it's alder, which I guess is the norm for non-COW Jackson's?) then I'm buying my first Jackson.
