The NEW Fretglow Fiber Optic Lighting system will enhance you Guitar allowing you to see your markers in Dim or Dark settings like, Stage, Bedrooms, Dark Bars and More.

Our design allows builder to add fibers inside neck so that your markers can change color with just a twist of a switch witch you mount on your guitar. You can create your choice of color depending on how wire up LED leads.

Remember !! This is only the Kit, you still have to assemble the fiber and electronics into your disassembled instrument.

20 ft of 1.5mm or 2mm Fiber Optic Endglow Fiber

9v Battery Snap & "AA" Battery Holder for choice of Power

Wow...They're STILL using my tutorial info/photos and haven't said a word to me about it.

It's not really that hard to do but I wouldn't suggest doing it on a neck you love for the first time.

Yeah I actually posted the tutorial a few times, different versions/guitars, even that diagram was something I had up for awhile. I think the photo of the fretboard is still up somewhere.

That jackson neck was easy to do. Ibanez necks are even easier.

Funny thing about the closeup shot of the fretboard...that was just my test piece and was used for a bunch of ideas. In that one you can see how the fiber strand compares to a small LED. Speaking of sizes, the strands they're selling with the kits are waaaay too large. Using those sizes will mean you won't have much (if any) of your stock sidemarker left. And if the strands aren't illuminated, it will just be black.

I'm just curious, how do you remove the fretboard without destroying anything?

It's tricky. Basically, you steam it off with an iron and putty knife. Ibanez necks work the best and come off very nicely. Other necks have been a PAIN to try and do. It also works best/easiest if there are no large/fancy inlays. I wouldn't do it on a bound neck either.

One VERY important note is that depending on how long it takes to steam the board off, there can/will be some shrinkage due to losing some moisture. This can even cause the fretboard itself to warp. IF something like this happens, all you can do is glue it back on the neck and reshape it as best you can.
