I don't think thats correct everything I have read says that the HRG7E is 25.5", can you provide a link that shows it is 27".

The RG7EX is definitely 27".

1527 & 15271 = Basswood body
HRG7E = Mahogany body

Yup the fixed bridge HRGs are essentially 15271s with mahogany bodies. My main fiddle these days is an HRG72 - basically the same guitar, save for the EMGs. My guitar plays and sounds great (after switching PUs) and it was most certainly worth its price (less than I'd pay for a standard 1527 in Denmark - even after shipping and taxes).

To whoever it was, that would rather have an LA Custom... Where would you find a new LA Custom? Where would you find a new LA Custom for under $1000? It's like going shopping for a Mondeo and come to the conclusion that a Bentley would be nicer - not much helpful info really.

Cheers

Eske

P.s.: I believe someone on this board said that HRG was abbreviation of Hoshino Rock Guitar, but I really have no clue.
