Soo, it looks like I'm going to get an RG7321 in the end of the month...

Yeah, I finaly get the money for my new guitar after I get my pay in the end of the month. I will have something like 600-700$. I tried out the Washburn WG587 a few days ago, and I didn't like it, and anyway, it was 600$ at here, funny ha?

There are a few other 7s here but those are worser or to expensive, so I think I will get an RG7321, I have the money for it, hope it will be ok, I didn't tried ot on yet.

But before buying anything I will hunt for a used guitar, maybe I can get something cool here.

Still sometimes I feel, and I'm sure that I can get a much better quality 6 string for this price, and I downtune it, so I'm still thinking on it, I realy love Yamaha's guitars, so maybe I will live without a few high notes...

Or that would be a bad idea? Sould I get an RG7321? It's not a cheap guitar, I mean it's realy worths the 600$ (it's cost something like that at here) or it's just becouse it's a 7, becouse a 6string basswood guitar is much more cheaper.

I will think twice and buy smart, I won't spend the money when I get it.

HOPE YOU GET BORED

Ok, so here is the list of guitar what I like in my price range:

Yamaha RGX 520, 6 string, so I would downtune it like a baritone to Bb, and maybe I would block the trem
Wilkinson type tremolo
alder body
bolt-on
great stock PU (no need to change them)
FLAMED MAPLE TOP!
750$

Samick SKT 777, 7 string so it's ok, only problem is the floyd copy trem? i don't know what would I do with that, blokk it, or what, if it's cheap and not usable...
floyd copy trem
alder body
bolt-on
Duncen Designed PUs, can't be too bad
500$

Ibanez RG7321

Well what I don't like in this guitar, is that it's overpriced, maybe I'm dumb but I think that's too expensive for a basswood guitar with bad stock PUs that must be changed. What I like in it that it must have the thinest 7string neck and it's have a fix bridge.
It's 600$

And still, If I'm lucky I can get a used one, but all I see here are cheap 7string Squiers...

So, what do you think, what sould I buy?

So these are the three guitars I like in my price range:

http://www.guitarchina.com/yamaha/pic2/RGX620Z_TDR.jpg
Yamaha RGX 620
I love the flame maple top, and the stock PUs are great so no need to change them, I think it's a great quality guitar. It's got an alder body and wilkinson type trem. It's a 6string so I would lose my high E, but maybe I can live without it.
It's 750$

http://www.eldoradomusic.hu/images/e...845418907c53c3
Samick SKT 777
It's got an alder body to, and I like how it is look. Duncen Designed PUs so that can't be too horrible. Only problem is the floyd copy trem, I don't know what would I do with that, block it?
500$

RG7321
Well as I said, maybe I'm dumb but I think this guitar is overpriced, I mean, it's a basswood body guitar with bad stock pickups, why is it 600$? But I didn't tried it out yet, so if the frets and neck joint is ok, maybe I get this one, but if I change the pu's, for that price I could by a better guitar, so It doesn't worth it.

So, what would you chose? A better quality guitar or a seven? I want to buy a guitar that will be happy "forever". I have a month to choose so I have time to think, and also, maybe I can catch a used one, but now I only see 7strin Squier guitars here...

Well, there are three guitar what I like in my price range.

For 750$, Yamaha RGX 620. I think it's a great quality guitar, alder body, flamed maple top, great stock PUs so no need to change them, adn it has a wilkinson type trem. It's a 6string so I would lose my high E but maybe I can live without it.

500$ Samick SKT 777. Alder body, 7string, Duncen Designed PUs. Only problem is the floyd copy trem. I don't like floyds, and even if I blokk it, I don't trust these thing, but I realy like this guitar too.

600$ RG7321. Well, fix bridge, so it's ok. Only problem is the bad stock PU's, if I change them I can buy a better guitar from it. And I think it's overpriced, I mean it's a basswood guitar, I don't know why is it 600$...

So, what sould I buy?

GO with the RG

RG7321! It at least has 24 frets on a superb wizard II profile neck! The RG7321 should only cost $350NEW. But since your in another country that is very different with shipping and tax and all that. But anyway it is fixed bridge, but you know what is awesome? The neck. The neck is a 5 piece multilaminate constructed neck. It is very hard stiff and strong. constructed of hardrock eastern maple, and bubinga (oops its WALNUT sorry) strips inbetween. This allows a nice slim yet strong neck yielding sustain and tuning stability because there is less flex. Bubinga (WALNUT) , adds bass snap and growl to the tone. The basswood body has an overpowering midrange along with normal levels of bass and treble hidden underneath pickup selection is key here , as the wrong selection may get an undesired tone that is not workable. Dimarzio offers in my opinion, the best passive flavors for basswood besides the boutique pickup manufacturers. In wich I just don't think you could go wrong with a bareknuckle warpig or, Lundgren 7, EMG 81-7 or 707 or even The new seymour duncan active blackout7. Well just my opinion, May I also add my New RG7321 isdoing spectacular and I can't wait to start performing mods on it. Best of luck

I don't want to buy guitar from the internet, I would like to try it out, the same guitar that I will use. The same model can be various of quality. And the other thing I mentioned is that the stock PUs are bad and I must change them, and for that price (for example a Blaze is 125$ at here) I can buy a better guitar, and I can play this game forever if you know what I mean.

So I must find a used one here. I saw a good 7string IBanez S here, hope the kid wont sell it till the end of the month.

Nice choice. I thought about scoring a 7321 to mod, there is one at my local music store and I love that white bound 5-piece neck.

Could someone help me out please?

I can't find the RG7321 in the guitar review section, but I remember there was many reviews from it here.

So could someone tell me how does that stock pickups sound? I didn't heared to much good things about it, but I want to know that they are useable or I MUST change them...
I would like to use them for Morbid Angel, so I would like a Blaze kind of tune.... hm, I guess I won't get that tone out from them But I don'T have the money to change them...

I read somewhere here that the neck pickup isn't bad at all, is that true?

Thanks in advance!

I have a 7321 and no way should it be $600, maybe $380 or so then u will have to change pickups. But they're actually good feeling guitars, pretty nice neck.

i'd go with the rg7321.. a little investment into some new pickups will make a big difference on the sound and it'll be well worth the 300 something rather dollars you spent on the guitar.. I was kinda skeptical at first when i got mine but after putting the new pick ups in it i love it.. my main guitar now. I was actually thinking of buying another one just to mod.. but i'd definitely go with the RG dude.. the basswood doesnt really take away from the tone or anything.. still sounds great.. and yeah the neck pickup still sounds pretty decent.. but to each their own, what i think sounds good you might think sounds like shit.. SO i'd definitely take some time to seriously consider and shop around for what pickups you want
