Its about two carvin 7s - one is mahagony with 2 maple stripes neck with ebony fretboard though mahagony body, the other is 1 piece maple neck with rosewood fretboard through mahagony body.

It seems to me that mahagony wings on the second one influence the sound not more than the kind of pick used

so it mostly sounds like a maple guitar.
Am I wrong?

Wings do add to the sound. the maple/rosewood neck will sound less beefy with a mellow attack due to rosewood, the mahogany neck will sound beefier with a good snap due to ebony
