Piezo problems with new JP7 =/

I just got a new JP7 and was pretty excited, but when I switched to the piezo pickups, no sound came out. Tried playing using both jacks, and tried changing the battery in the back of the guitar, to no avail. Anyone know what's up?

I'd start looking for loose wires. Nice guitar btw.

Hand Of Nog, check the back of the output box thing, there should be 3 little screw like controls, volume, bass, and mix. Make sure Mix is turned in the correct direction. Also, make sure the piezo volume is turned on just to be sure. That's the furthest knob from the pickup switch.

Dude, no need to be a condescending prick about it.

Besides, if you even read his post, you'd see that he has tried both jacks. And even then, you don't know what you're talking about, because using the Mono/Piezo output, both acoustic and electric sounds come out that way.

Heh, I see you edited your post pretty quick.

Thanks to all those who have replied; I really appreciate it. Here's an update though. There is [i]some[i] signal coming out of the output, since when I inadvertently switched to piezos on one of my distortion channels, I unmistakably heard my playing, albeit very faintly. So there's a signal coming out that's too weak to be heard on the clean channel, but is audible through lots of gain. I've already turned the mix knob on the back of the guitar to its max.

Any thoughts?

And to gregj, I didn't vote for Bush, FYI. We're not all stupid here =)

First of all, SWEET GUITAR!

Second, look at the wiring to make sure there are no loose connections.

If you bought it new, don't dick around with the wiring yourself. Call EB/MM customer support and they'll look after you. (and your guitar)

Nice guitar man! I wish there were more 7's with peizo pickups.

OT I know but has anyone else noticed a HUGE increase in J. Customs and EBMM JP7's on this forum?
