A problem byuing from ebay

I'm very much interested in buying a carvin from ebay, but wtf the seller doesnt' ship to Russia. To my luck, theres a guy here who has a frend in USA who can help me with shipping and stuff. But he has no ebay account. The guy here who helps me has, but bidding from russian accounts is forbidden on that lot. And he is able to transact the money via paypal, but the seller's answer to let to buyitnow from russian acc was "shipping to Russia is unavailable" or smth like this...

I'll try to ask the seller now. But it seems to me it's no good.

Anyone knows how to solve this??? The guitar looks so awesome, i'd be pretty much disappionted not to have one, the more especially as I have the money and ability to ship.

Unfortunately there are some people from various places around the world who use ebay to steal from others. Lot's of people won't sell to Indonesia because of scammers. I can understand how a buyer from Russia might look suspicious. Apart from that some guys just don't want to bother with international shipping. It sucks, but that's the way it is. I've missed out on a few good deals because of it too.

How about buying new direct from Carvin?

But, you've got the Shamray Customshop right there in Russia.

Yeah, I know it's a lot more money than a used Carvin.

Shamray )) Yeah, i know. The horrible fact about them is that they do cool axes for international customers, and rather crappy for russian. At least, some say so. Anyway, their prices are out of my budget

If you figure out how much it'll cost to ship with insurance from postal code 64093 and paypal me the money + paypal fees, and a little something for the hassle of shipping it to you and filling out all the customs forms and stuff I have no problem buying it for you. I'm leaving for work in about 15 minutes but if you want me to do this for you shoot me a PM!

Alex I would say Joe is your best bet on this one. What you are describing would look like a scam to almost any eBay seller, so I don't really blame him for shooting you down. If you really want this guitar, send the funds to Joe and let him take care of you.

Here's the issue in case you're not understanding fully why the seller doesn't want to do what you're asking. With Paypal, the seller cannot accept payment from an account and ship to an address that does not match the verified address. Since he already stated he won't ship to russia, that blocks your paypal account totally. If you pay him from an account that has a Russian Verified Address, he cannot ship to an address in the United States and still retain his seller protection through Paypal. That is why he won't do what you're asking of him.

It's pretty simple, I don't ship internationally 99.5% of the time because it IS more of a headache than shipping in the continental US. I made a deal for a guy on here to ship to Europe, but other than that I almost always refuse to ship outside the US. As a seller here, it is more of a pain to ship outside the US.

Hope it works out for you man but honestly at this point it seems like Joe is making a pretty reasonable offer on a solution to your problem, so I would consider taking him up on it if you REALLY want to get that guitar.
