7-inline chrome tuners?

Hey. I've been looking around in sheer curiosity after some chrome 7-inline tuners for my guitar - but I can't find any of 'em anywhere! I've tried asking around at my local shops, and none of 'em even knew they exist, so I thought you guys could help me. (And yes, I've been checking the internet as well. Came up empty)

P.S: Any suggestions you might have, make sure they're in Europe - shipping and the 30% additional taxing from the US is a bitch! Thanks in advance.

Nobody makes and packages a 7-string set of tuners. Basically, you have to find a place that sells tuners individually or is willing to break up a set of 6 so you can buy 6+1. Either that, or you have to buy two sets of 6, then hang on to the rest for other projects or sell them on eBay.

A couple of places online, such as WD, do sell individual tuners (sometimes for a small premium), but you're probably just as well off trying to source them locally.

Just to put it out there, I do sets of 7 string tuners but I'm in the US. None of my distributors have 7s so I use multiple sets to put them together.

If you have no luck, or anyone else is interested, let me know. Thanks an good luck!

Thanks!

If you call up Sperzel, they'll hook you up with a set of locking ones for like 75$.

Edit: Just realized you said in Europe. In that case, give Schaller a call. they're in germany ;p

If you can sell me packs of 7 Grovers, I'll sing Bette Midler songs to you.

A couple of things you guys should know about the Grover locking mini-Rotomatics:

Despite their name, they are not a direct drop-in replacement for regular mini-Rotomatics. They have a higher gear ratio, so the housing is slightly larger and the stabilizing screw is in a different location. So if you're looking at replacing non-locking ones with locking ones, you WILL have to drill more holes in your headstock. I only discovered this after ordering in a set from WD. So they're sitting in a drawer awaiting another project.

The posts on the locking mini-Rotomatics also won't accommodate anything larger than about a .060" string. Keep that in mind if, like me, you use really heavy strings on your 7.

Eric: Thanks for taking the initiative to make seven-string sets of tuners available... good to know! Which tuners do you carry?

Hey Darren,

Thanks, gotta keep my 7 bros running! That's good info you mentioned about the mini-rotos.

The mfg list is a couple posts above. I can get almost anything from them but the weirder it is, the longer it would take to get. I do a lot of parts for restorations and some of that stuff can take a long time to get. Peace.
