Wasn't the thread title supposed to be written in capitals with a smilie?

Umm, not to be a downer, but where on the Duncan site does it say that the 7-string Blackouts are available? The front page has Dino Cazares on it talking about the Blackouts, but it quite conspicuously fails to mention 7-string versions. And the product listing for the Blackouts also doesn't mention 7-stringers. They should be available soon, I'd think--Guitar Parts Depot told someone here that the end of July was the target for availability of the EMG-sized ones.

I deem this thread false. We already knew they're coming out. Nowhere in your link does it say its available, or where its available, or when. to false hope.

Well, for what its worth, I just bought the bridge & neck set of the Blackout 6 string version to put into my SLSMG (with stock EMG 81/85 pickups). I'm going to do a direct A-B comparison with them so people can get a general idea of what they have to look forwards to.

Sweet, i have the same guitar. I would very much like to hear about it!

And yes, the blackout 7s in the normal housing will be the last to be released, because the EMG sized housings are readily available, the standards had to be developed and manufactured before anything else. Im not sure anyone knows when they will be released, but I keep hearing somewhere around september or in the fall.

DIVINE HERESY whose brutal, unrelenting and overall refreshing sound will quickly garner legions of followers who are starving to hear something devastating and unique. Blackouts, with their crunchy rhythms, biting lead tones, and 12dB - 14dB less noise than other active humbuckers, fit right into this mix. DIVINE HERESY is redefining the true meaning of extreme with their Century Media Records debut offering, Bleed The Fifth, which was just released. Blackouts is redefining the tone of active humbuckers and are available at your Seymour Duncan dealer now.
I guess thats where he gets it. But I dont see anything about the 7s in particular.
