7-String capo
Hil all!
Do you know if there's a capo for 7-String guitars? Or would a 12-String or Classical possibly work? Regards
If you change 4 letters in "Mama", it's "Beer"!

A 12 string capo would be the same as a 6 string capo, and the classical capo would be designed for a flat radius.

A 12-string neck is SLIGHTLY wider than a six. It might be an improvement.
I use one of those Kaiser clamp-style 6-string capos. It's a tight fit on my UV, but it JUST covers all seven strings. I wouldn't go too overboard on it, but if you're just using the capo to do a few overdubs in different registers, then it's more than up to snuff. ![]()

I had a G7 classical-width capo for a while, and it worked on my Soloist - but it was tricky to handle, since it wasn't made for a curved board.

Get a Shubb 12-string capo. They're significantly longer, designed to accommodate capoing high up the fretboard on a wider 12-string neck.

I have had success with those Bird of Paradise capos too. The clamp style that look like a tucan. They cover a 7 easily and have worked well with my H207 RG7620 and S7420.

My Dunlop trigger capo works great as far up as the 8th fret on my 7421.

I wonder if the Planet Waves NS-Capo (designed by Ned Steinberger) would work.

Thanks for that info, Darren. As far as I know, 2" is standard for an OFR-7, and 1 7/8" is standard for a TOM.
