J-Custom shipping question. It's on its way, but how far? Tracking info inside.
My tracking info states that the guitar is "dispatch from outward office of exchange." What exactly does that mean? Is the guitar on its way? The guy who sold it to me says that the guitars are usually door to door in like, 3 days. I paid for it Monday at about 12 p.m. Thanks.

I believe that means it's ready to leave Japan... then once it gets here it will need to go through US customs which is a complete crap shoot as to how long it takes. When I got my RG8670 from Japan I believe actual shipping time Japan to US was about two days, but it sat in US customs for four additional days.

Is it ever subjected to heat conditions during this time? I'm concerned about the guitar being damaged. According to the ebay guy, they are never subjected to it.

Yeah it'll be okay. The most heat it will see is the trip from the plane into the customs building. And then from the building to the plane. Then from the plane to UPS (I'm assuming). Then UPS to your house. My sister just brought her dog through customs from Switzerland to the US, and it's not dead.
Your guitar will be alright. |

That sucks, I had no idea that it would be more. Meestursparkle, (ebay guy), didn't mention this in the auction. He said it would be delivered through USPS, not UPS, so I'm not sure if that means the guitar will cook for awhile or not. Well, since the guitar will be delivered at the post office, how will they get the customs money?
