Schecter 007 Elite, What's a good price?

I've seen a lot of these listed on the bay, but most start around $400 and get no bids. I was wondering what a good price is on these.

Also, for those who own/play one, what's your opinion on 'em? I know Loomis played them a while, so they must not be too bad. I know I can't call them great because of one user, but ... yeah. Any opinions?

And it's filled with people who are filled with shit
And the vermin of the world inhabit it
But not for long ...

i have an 007 i got for 470 shipped on ebay. it was a new b-stock (because of a crack in the clearcoat near where the strings go into the body) and i plays great!

no string buzz, accept a bit on the low b, and holds tune very well. low action, pretty light weight too. i thought i was going to hate the gloss neck on it, but its actually really nice. its not sticky, its pretty smooth. neck is thinner than i thought it would be too. i hear all this stuff about schecters having massive necks, but it is really comfortable. i measured the thickness with my dads digital caliper, and it was just a tad thicker than my fender strat's neck. (maybe a hundredth of an inch or two)

very pretty too, the binding on the neck makes it look really nice, mines the black cherry on quilted maple.

stock pickups i dont really like that much, bridge is a bit low output, and kinda dull, but i am used to the x2n in my dean. i put an eq between my overdrive and my guitar, and took off some bass, added some highs, and raised the output on the eq a bit, and it sounds alot better. as for the single in the neck, i hardly use it as i am not much of a fan of singles. pretty low output single coil pickup tho.

Would you say the build quality is comparable to the Hellraisers? I keep telling myself that I'm going to get a Hellraiser, but I just love the 00 shape. I figured I could pick a 007 up for quite a bit cheaper, throw a DSonic like the one in my 1527 in the bridge, and be set for quite a bit less. But that's only if the quality is as good.

The qualitys on par with a hellraiser, my friend has a hellraiser and I have a 007 and there both great. My guitar wins cause of the finish and the push pull pot but im sure he wouldn't agree with that.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of his stuff. But it seems like average eBay pricing to me; it actually looks like he's been trying to move that for a while and finally lowered the price a bit if you look at completed auctions. Every now and then one pops up with a low starting bid, so I'm thinking I might hold out and keep my eyes open.

top notch guitar, i regret selling mine, i picked mine up for 450 at gc, so 400 would be the fair price since gc are rapists, the only, ONLY reason i got rid of it is the no trem issue, i have to have one

$350-400. They make a 007 Blackjack model which is the same price as the 007 Elite but has real pickups in it. If it was me I'd opt for that model.

Most if not all of Schecter's guitars are top notch, only thing I've ever had problems with is stock pickups, unless it came with real Duncans, though you seem to want to put a D-Sonic in there anyway, so it wouldn't be a problem for you I think. I have an X2N-7 in my Avenger and its simply awesome.

I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ
