Recommendations

I'm currently in the market for a seven string and have been looking at Schecter, Ibanez, and considered ordering a custom Jackson.

I'm looking for something with good pickups and probably something that I can get my hands on in a short period of time.

Any suggestions?

Wow - thats pretty vague.

However being that I love Ibanez I would recommend them. If your looking for a used model go with the Rg7620 (trem) or RG7421/Rg7621 (fixed).

If your looking for a new one - then check out the RG1527 Prestige model or the cheaper S7320.

We totally need a price range, what style of music you play, what kind of guitars you currently play...anything to help narrow it down. I could recommend a $400 Agile, or a $4000 custom. And everything in between. Or something completely out of left field, like a Russian classical guitar.

I play black/death/grind. I'm looking for something in the 600-1000 price range.
Also, I'm currently playing a Jackson.

Well, the hellraiser comes to mind. You have the same kind of budget problems as I do, which precludes a custom Jackson. The schecters are good. They have the best tone, IMO. The ibanez have the best trem. But you didn't even mention that you wanted that, so...

Well, I was looking at the hellraiser and the only thing that turned me off was the volume knob's location being so close to the strings.

If your a jacksonplayer I would suggest the 7-string washburn. You can find them at ebay sometimes, and I´m pretty sure there are some good threads about them on this site.
