3. RG2027's seem to go for around $1000-$1200, give or take. I've seen them a bit lower, and a bit higher. They're rather rare, however, and most with them (like moi ) have no plans to part with them.

can it be added later ? how do you "mount" piezzo. Lets say I have floater/floyd rose bridge, 7 string of course.

Not really. There doesn't exist any aftermarket saddles for piezo Floyds (yet).

Yes and no

There's a switch on the top that changes the output method. You can have both running through one output, or have one output for each. Without Kevan's modification you can only have either the piezo or magnetic ouput at a time and physically have to switch between them. Kevan's mod allows you to run both at the same time.

I would say this is changing as less and less of these show up for sale... There were 8 people lined up to buy the one I grabbed at $1600. I personally thought it was a little high, but after looking for one for a year I figured what the hell, because who knows when another one will pop up

Oh and Nick your best bet to get something with a trem with piezos is a JP7. There are currently two for sale in the classifieds, mine and HighGain510's.

Either I bought my RG7CST modded (very possible), or Kevan's mod only effects the dual output method (which I believe to be the case)

The third knob on the guitar is the blend pot to blend the peizo and the magnetic output to the primary output jack. If running both at the same time wasn't possible stock, I'm not sure what the purpose of the pot is.

I've always used the single cable method and it's worked fine. The new rack I'm putting together is going to take advantage of the dual cable method though, using a soundsculpture switchblade to route the magnetics through my normal amp (bogner XTC), and the peizo through the axe-FX so I can switch between them with a footswitch instead of the poorly placed toggle on the guitar (which always seems to be under the trem arm), and blend as necessary using the mixer in the switchblade instead of worrying about moving the pot on the guitar.

Very cool guitars. Honestly though, I wish I could find a peizo equipped 7 string with a through body TOM bridge. I have too many guitars with trems.
