Anybody know where to grab a 7-string tonepros bridge?
I'm probably going to be getting a damien 7-string soon, and unlike it's bigger brothers it doesn't have a locking tonepros bridge. Anybody know where I can get a 7-string tonepros bridge? I've looked everywhere online and can't find anywhere.

I had to wait a few weeks for mine. TonePros only makes them in batches, so sometimes they get backed up a bit. I ordered mine through WD. It's not a bad piece of gear, though it's essentially the same Chinese/Korean-made Tune-O-Matic that came stock on my Dean, with two set screws tapped into it.
To my surprise, the posts were still very sloppy in the body-mounted studs, which to me seems like half of the "equation" that TonePros is trying to solve. The next time i change my strings, i'm going to lock the posts in place with a couple of jam nuts. |

You could always just buy a Schecter Blackjack seven and rip it off of there, but that might be a bit too expensive.
![]() Might I ask, why do you want a TonePros locking bridge so bad? As Darren said, it's just a Tune-o-matic with two set screws on it. I could easily see myself living without the set screws, they're a nice idea but by no means essential. Don't get me wrong, I love my bridge, but if the Damien model has a nice quality Tune-o-matic on it already (and it probably will) it seems like a lot of money and effort just to have two tiny set screws on it. Might want to spend that money on some better pickups or something. ![]() EDIT: Oh, by the way, does anyone else think it's totally BITCHIN' that you can get sevens with Tune-o-matic bridges these days? I mean I like a hard tail and all(not a tremolo guy), but the Tune-o-matic has always been my favorite bridge, it's just got this class and mojo to it. And I remember wishing years ago that there were some sevens with a TOM on them, but I couldn't find any. I don't know how long they've been around, maybe I just didn't happen to see any, but I freaking LOVE having a TOM on a seven. ![]() |

I like the feel of the RG7621 style bridge a lot more (Being used to playing trems and all) but the ToM with the string through body thing just looks badass.
