UV case

Hey guys.

I've decided to go with the Ibanez UV777P BK (

) from music123.com. (8-String seems WAY too much trouble at the moment...) They say that the UV ships with a UV1000C case. Is this normal for a new UV? Say 06/07?

Ya see, I've heard that the new UV's come with a Team J. Craft case like the RG1527RB (thanks musicboyy!). Is this true? If so, when did they change cases?

I ask because I'm a little neurotic about the date on the guitar's serial number. When I get a new guitar I want it to be NEW!

And also the UV1000C is sweet...

Edit: I'm getting it in the middle of august so I've got plenty of time to work my ass off and save! And I haven't got the guitar yet!

Nice score. The one I had, it was a 1998 model and it came with a UV1000. I was surprised to see my S 7420 BP come with one too (back in 2003). I love those cases, the pink-lined ones too.

It doesn't look like the picture and description on music123 have been updated as it still mentions/shows the Lo-Pro Edge trem...the new ones come with an Edge Pro trem. I would assume that it will come with the Team J Craft case like my '06 UV did. Granted I didn't get it new...but I'm confident that it's the original case.

Glad to see you decided on the UV! It's an amazing guitar (IMO) and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Both of my RG7620's came in the UV1000C case.

I want to buy a case for my UVMC but in Argentina i didn't see anyone. Do you know any place to get one?

The UV1000C is beautiful. I love the inside, and the pink writing on the outside is cool too.

I talked with Rich, and he said me that the pink ones are very expensive, and the shipping only it's aprox. 350 dollars. A lot of money
